iPhone Client Application for Agricultural Insurance

iPhone client application allows field personnel and end users to easily do lookups of crop price values, liability limits, policy information and key dates of the crop cycle. Developed using native Objective-C for client application, and WCF services with a SQL Server backend on the server.

Insurance Rate Engine

System to perform Liability and Premium calculations for Agricultural Insurance Policies. Average sub-second performance and 10x performance increase over legacy system. Deployed as both a WCF service for use by legacy Delphi client, as well as native .Net library for use by .Net clients. Built using C#, SQL Server, WCF, LinqToSQL, PostSharp.

Clinical Consent System

Primary developer for a system allowing clinicians to digitally capture subject consent for participation in medical trials. Client portion of system was developed in WPF for use on a Tablet PC. Admin portion of system was developed using ASP.NET with a SQL Server backend. Client and server communicated using WCF.

Personal Fitness Tracking Prototype

Partnered with web design firm to develop a prototype application for personal fitness tracking. Developed using ASP.NET MVC and LinqToSQL.

SMS Marketing Platform

Worked on 2nd generation of a marketing platform allowing Realtors to communicate with prospective buyers via SMS. Wrote module to notify Realtors via e-mail immediately when one of their properties is viewed. ASP.NET with MySQL backend.

Subscription Newsletter Content System

Developed ASP.NET platform for managing The Motley Fool's subscription newsletter sites. Converted seven existing newsletters to the new platform, and launched four new products using that platform. Platform included a real-time stock ticker application for tracking returns of each product's recommendations. Integrated with existing legacy Content Management System.

Ad Delivery Platform

Migrated The Motley Fool's Ad Delivery from an aging custom solution to the industry standard DoubleClick platform. Interface written in C#.

Search System

Replaced custom system search with a solution based on Google Search Appliance. Integration code written in C# and ASP.NET.

Property Tax Management System

Development Manager for an enterprise Property Tax Management application. Worked with three development teams to deliver the solution by the target deadline. Oversaw conversion of client data to the new platform, and worked with implementation team to launch the solution at multiple client sites. Development in ASP.NET, C#, VB6/COM with SQL Server backend.
